LCSA SECURES AND MAINTAINS VEHICLES FOR UP TO 24 MONTHS ENABLING FAMILIES TO SEEK AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT WHILE AVOIDING PREDATORY CAR LENDERS AND DESTABILIZING MAINTENANCE COSTS. AFTER 36 MONTHS THE FAMILY OWNS THE VEHICLE OUTRIGHT. CORE TO THE SHIFT PROGRAM IS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND FINANCIAL STABILITY THAT INCLUDES RESUME WRITING, JOB SEARCH, BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES.
- #2 $90KEMERGENCY RELIEF FUND (ERF): THIS PROGRAM OFFERS VULNERABLE, LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS EXPERIENCING AN UNFORESEEN CRISIS WITH A ONE-TIME CASH ASSISTANCE TO MEET THEIR BASIC NEEDS. SITUATIONS SUCH AS EMERGENCY RENT/UTILITY ASSISTANCE, MEDICAL SERVICES, FOOD OR OTHER CRITICAL NEEDS ARE ADDRESSED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. DURING FY 2021-2022, 307 FAMILIES AVERTED CRISIS BY UTILIZING THIS FUND.
