Concert Bands (Wind Ensemble & Percussion)
Differentiated classes for woodwind, brass, and percussion students focusing on individual technique, tone study, and concert repertoire. These combine to form the Ironwood Ridge Wind Ensemble for festivals and trips.
Indoor Percussion Ensemble
A spring semester ensemble for students performing on drumline or front ensemble instruments, competing around Arizona and nationally.
Jazz Band
An audition-based ensemble for experienced performers exploring jazz improvisation, harmony, music theory, and various jazz genres. Students also work in smaller jazz combos that perform in the community.
The Nighthawk Vanguard (Marching Band & Color Guard)
The high school's marching band and color guard program, performing at football games and competitions throughout Arizona and the Southwest. It includes musicians and color guard members who perform modern dance, flag, rifle, and saber work.
Winter Guard
A spring season program for color guard members, competing and performing in movement, modern dance, flag, rifle, and saber work.
