    WE HOPE TO GO BACK TO IN PERSON MEETINGS IN 2023. MENTORING PROGRAM WE TRAINED 13 NEW MENTORS TO ASSIST FAMILIES GOING THROUGH THE TRANSPLANT PROCESS NOW HAVE 77 TRAINED MENTORS. 28 FAMILIES WERE MATCHED ESTABLISHED A RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR MENTORS. WE MAINTAIN ASSISTANCE FUNDS TO ALLOW US TO PROVIDE GRANTS TO TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES AFTER THEIR TRANSPLANTS. IN 2022, THIS FUND WAS SEGREGATED INTO TWO GROUPS, THOSE IMPACTED BY KIDNEY TRANSPLANTS THEN ALL OTHER ORGAN TRANSPLANT. IT PROVIDES FINANCIAL GRANTS TO FAMILIES EXPERIENCING THE STRESS OF LOST INCOME DURING THE TRANSPLANT PROCESS. IN 2022, WE WERE ABLE TO ASSIST 117 FAMILIES WITH GRANTS FROM THE GENERAL LIVING ASSISTANCE FUND TOTALING OVER 58,000 AND ASSIST 42 FAMILIES WITH GRANTS FROM THE KIDNEY LIVING ASSISTANCE FUND TOTALING OVER 33,000. THE AVERAGE GRANT PER FAMILY WAS APPROXIMATELY 570.

    TO FUNDRAISE FOR, RAISE AWARENESS OF, THE TRANSPLANT GIFT OF LIFE, WE HAVE AN ANNUAL DONOR DASH FUNDRAISING EVENT PARTICIPATE AS TRANSPLANT TEAM ARIZONA IN A BI-ANNUAL OLYMPIC-STYLE FESTIVAL CALLED THE TRANSPLANT GAMES OF AMERICA. IN 2022, WE HOSTED THE 3RD ANNUAL DONOR DASH WHICH HAD OVER 300 RUNNERS PARTICIPATE RAISED OVER 13,000. WE ALSO HEADED TO SAN DIEGO, CA FOR THE 2022 TRANSPLANT GAMES OF AMERICA WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE OVER 45,000 FOR OUR TEAM TO COMPETE WHICH INCLUDED 2,000 TO ASSIST EACH FAMILY WITH A YOUNG COMPETITOR WITH THE MEMBERS OF TRANSPLANT TEAM ARIZONA RANGE FROM 6 TO 76 YEARS OLD. DURING THE FESTIVAL GAMES, 21 COMPETITORS WON 37 MEDALS WITH 5 OF THESE COMPETITORS BEING 14 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER. IN ADDITION, WE MAINTAINED A DIGITAL PRESENCE ON FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER, LINKEDIN, YOUTUBE HAD OVER 20,000 READERS, LIKES, FOLLOWERS. WE USE THIS PRESENCE TO ADVERTISE OUR ACTIVITIES, RECRUIT MEMBERS VOLUNTEERS, TELL OUR TRANSPLANT STORIES, RECOGNIZE OUR SPONSORS, SHARE EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES.
