Accessible Proximity Design

By locating cultural spaces near major cultural sites and designing for physical accessibility, broad and inclusive public visitation is achieved, because ease of access and independent exploration lowers barriers to engagement for diverse audiences. This strategy emphasizes intentional geographic placement and inclusive design to foster equitable access to cultural experiences. Unlike strategies that focus solely on outreach or programming, it addresses structural barriers by ensuring that the physical and locational aspects of a site actively invite and accommodate all visitors, including those with mobility challenges or limited transportation options.
