MANY OF THESE MEN HAVE A HISTORY OF BEING UNABLE TO EXPAND INTIAL RECOVERY INTO LONG-TERM SOBRIETY. MOST APPLICANTS ARE FACED WITH A VARIETY OF PERSONAL AND SOCIETAL PROBLEMS. THEIR RESOURCES BECOME EXHAUSTED AND THEY HAVE A HISTORY OF RELAPSE ALONG WITH A LACK OF SELF-CONTROL AND LOW SELF-ESTEEM. RESIDENTS PARTICIPATE IN SCHEDULED DAILY MEETINGS SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK, WHICH CONSIST OF INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING SESSIONS, DEVOTIONS, 12 STEP MEETINGS, AA/NA/CMA MEETINGS, LIFE SKILLS MEETINGS, SMALL GROUPS, FAITH BASED SERVICES AND MORE.DEEP WITHIN REHAB CENTER OPERATES 24 HOURS PER DAY, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. ALL OF THE RESIDENTS ARE INDIGENT AND QUALIFY AS LOW INCOME ACCORDING TO HUD GUIDELINES. IT OPERATES SUCCESSFULLY AS A GOOD NEIGHBOR IN AN ESTABLISHED URBAN AREA AND IS THE ONLY RECOVERY CENTER OF ITS KIND IN THE CITY OF PEORIA, AZ. IT IS MEETING AN URGENET COMMUNTY NEED THAT IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED BY OTHER LOCAL AGENCIES. AT ANY GIVEN TIME, UP TO 34 MEN ARE HOUSED IN ITS FACILITY. RESIDENTS ARE WELSOME TO STAY AS LONG AS THEY CONFORM TO THE RULES OF THE PROGRAM.
