PREPARED THROUGH A NETWORK OF CONTRACTED PROVIDERS, MEALS ARE USUALLY DELIVERED MID-DAY BY A CONSISTENT STAFF PERSON OR VOLUNTEER, ACTING AS A WELFARE CHECK AND A CONNECTION FOR MEAL RECIPIENTS WHO OFTEN LIVE ALONE OR ARE ISOLATED.
