The Anderson Arroyo Foundation is in the process of constructing the Sonoran Desert Sanctuary, a wilderness retreat center, botanical garden, and permaculture eco-farm, which will serve as a restorative space to provide meditation and mindfulness-centered retreats to veterans and other trauma survivors who suffer from PTSD and Moral Injury. This is a large-scale project comprising 330 acres. We are still in the building phase and are scheduled to complete the first campground in the fall of 2023, with veteran retreats to begin soon afterward.
