THE YOEMEM TEKIA FOUNDATION IS DEVOTED TO THE PRESERVATION AND PERPETUATION OF YAQUI LANGUAGE, HISTORY AND CULTURE THROUGH PROJECTS WHICH REFLECT AND STRENGTHEN OUR TADITIONAL CULTURE AND VALUES. WE WORK FOR THE PROTECTION AND RECOGNITION OF INDIGENOUS RIGHTS AND TRADITIONAL CULTURE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BORDER. A PRIMARY GOAL OF OUR ORGANIZATION IS TO PRESERVE THE CULTERAL IDENTITY OF OUR YOUTH BY ENCOURAGING THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN YAQUI CULTURE.
