- #1 primary $2KTHE TUBAC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PARTICIPATED WITH OTHER LOCAL NON-PROFITS TO PRODUCE THE ART EXHIBIT JAVELINAS DE TUBAC. AFTER TWO YEARS OF PLANNING, FIFTY JAVELINAS ARRIVED IN TUBAC AND WERE DISTRIBUTED TO LOCAL ARTISTS FOR THEIR CREATIVE PAINTING AND EMBELLISHMENT. THE JAVELINAS THEN POSED THROUGHOUT COMMUNITY LOCATIONS. THE TWO-YEAR PROJECT CULMINATED WITH AN ONLINE SILENT AUCTION IN APRIL OF 2020 THAT RAISED FUNDS FOR LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.ON A WARM AUTUMN EVENING, THE TUBAC CHAMBER HOSTED A DRIVE-IN MOVIE NIGHT FEATURING THE MOVIE TIN CUP. DRIVE IN MOVIE NIGHT WAS COMPLETE WITH POPCORN AND AN OLD-FASHIONED CONCESSION STAND. COMMUNITY SERVICE-ORIENTED RIO RICO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS HELPED THE TUBAC FIRE DISTRICT PARK CARS AND OPERATE THE CONCESSION STANDS.
