Targeted Fellowship Access

By providing travel fellowships to emerging translators from underrepresented backgrounds, we increase diversity and inclusion in literary translation, because access to professional networks and conferences enables career advancement and field-wide representation. This strategy focuses on lowering structural barriers to entry by funding participation in high-impact professional events, particularly for those working with marginalized languages or identities. Unlike general scholarship programs, it emphasizes targeted support tied to active network integration, leveraging conferences as hubs for mentorship, collaboration, and visibility. This approach distinguishes itself by coupling financial aid with intentional community-building and professional development opportunities.
