Rotating Seasonal Access

By rotating trip timing across seasons annually, participants gain diverse environmental and sensory experiences, because varying seasonal conditions expose them to new and enriching aspects of the same destinations. This strategy enhances adaptive recreational programming by intentionally varying the time of year when trips occur, ensuring participants encounter different weather, landscapes, and activities over time. Unlike fixed-schedule models, rotating seasonal access deepens engagement and broadens experiential learning, particularly benefiting individuals with disabilities who may otherwise have limited opportunities to observe and interact with nature’s seasonal changes.
