Model-Driven Planetary Science

By combining numerical modeling, impact experimentation, and dynamical theory, we advance understanding of planetary formation and evolution, because integrating empirical data with simulation enables robust reconstruction of celestial processes. This strategy relies on the synergy between physical experiments at hypervelocity scales, computational simulations, and theoretical frameworks to test hypotheses about how planets and other bodies form and change over time. Unlike observational-only approaches, this method actively probes cause-and-effect relationships in planetary science, allowing for predictive insights into both our solar system and exoplanetary systems.
