ADDITIONALLY, INTERNEWS WORKS TO INCREASE ENGAGEMENT IN POLITICAL PROCESSES BY TRAINING JOURNALISTS SUPPORTING MEDIA THAT ENHANCE CHANNELS FOR CITIZENS TO ACCESS ELECTORAL INFORMATION IN COUNTRIES AFFECTED BY CONFLICT, SUCH AS SOUTH SUDAN, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, AND THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC). INTERNEWS SUPPORTS REFUGEE AND IDP COMMUNITIES BY ENHANCING ACCESS TO RELIABLE INFORMATION AND SUPPORTING MEDIA ENGAGEMENT IN PEACE AND DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES. INTERNEWS WORKS WITH LOCAL RADIO BROADCASTERS AND OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS TO PROVIDE DISPLACED COMMUNITIES WITH LOCAL RELEVANT AND ACCURATE INFORMATION. OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE JOURNALISTS WITH THE TOOLS TO STRENGTHEN SUSTAINABLE INDEPENDENT MEDIA.
