- #1 primary $73KTHE TEMPE DIABLOS CONTINUED THEIR LONGSTANDING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CITY OF TEMPE, BY PROVIDING VOLUNTEER SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE 2020 CACTUS LEAGUE SPRING TRAINING SEASON, AS THE CITY OF TEMPE CONTINUES TO SUPPORT THE NEEDS OF THE LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM. THE GROUP PROVIDED SEVERAL HUNDRED MAN HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PARKING, TICKET TAKING AND USHERING FANS THROUGHOUT TEMPE DIABLO STADIUM ON GAME DAYS. ALTHOUGH THE 2020 SPRING TRAINING SEASON WAS SHORTENED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND SUBSEQUENT NATIONAL SHUTDOWN, THE GROUP STILL MANAGED TO PROVIDE MUCH NEEDED SUPPORT FOR 10 SPRING TRAINING GAMES.
- #2 $511KTHE SECOND LARGEST FUNDRAISING SOURCE FOR THE TEMPE DIABLOS CHARITIES REMAINS OUR IGNITE THE NIGHT CONCERT EVENT. THIS EVENT TYPICALLY INCLUDES A FUNDRAISING DINNER, LIVE SILENT AUCTIONS AND A MUSICAL ACT AND IS DESIGNED TO BRING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO EXPERIENCE AND CELEBRATE TEMPE. DUE TO COVID, THIS WAS CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR DUE TO COVID-19. BEYOND THIS ANNUAL EVENT, THE ORGANIZATION HELD EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR ITS VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORTERS TO CONNECT AND SUPPORT THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE LIVE INCLUDING THE INNINGS FESTIVAL.
