In partnership with Mesa Public Schools, this program adapts AZSA's K-12 urban forestry curriculum for students to learn about and grow sustainable urban forests on school campuses and in the community through classroom and hands-on learning.
Urban Forestry Education Initiative (UFED)
Trains K-12 teachers in Arizona to use an AZ-specific urban forestry curriculum, providing engaging lessons, activities, resources, and field experiences to educate youth on urban forestry foundations, ecosystem impacts, and career pathways.
