2.01 THE PURPOSE OF THE PGFFL IS TO ORGANIZE FLAG FOOTBALL GAMES AND LEAGUE ACTIVITIES FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER (LGBT) COMMUNITY. THE PGFFL WILL FOSTER A SAFE POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT ON AND OFF THE FIELD THAT ENCOURAGES ATHLETIC COMPETITION, CAMARADERIE, AND COMMUNITY FOR ITS PARTICIPANTS. PGFFL WILL ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT INVOLVEMENT IN FLAG FOOTBALL GAMES AND TOURNAMENTS FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS IN THE PHOENIX METROPOLITAN AREA. TO MEET THIS OBJECTIVE, THE PGFFL SHALL STRIVE TO PROMOTE RECREATION, INCLUSION, EXCELLENCE, INTEGRITY, AND GOOD SPORTING CONDUCT. IT IS A FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE OF THE PGFFL THAT ALL ACTIVITIES, SOCIAL AND ATHLETIC, ARE CONDUCTED TO BE INCLUSIVE IN NATURE. NO INDIVIDUAL SHALL BE EXCLUDED FROM PARTICIPATING IN ANY OF THE LEAGUE'S ACTIVITIES ON THE BASIS OF SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER, RACE, RELIGION, NATIONALITY, ETHNIC ORIGIN, POLITICAL BELIEFS, ATHLETIC ABILITY, PHYSICAL CHALLENGE, HIV STATUS, OR GENDER IDENTITY.
